  • Is there on-site parking?
    There is public parking on Wellbank St and Majors Bay Rd.
  • What is a Podiatrist?
    A Podiatrist is a health professional who deals with prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions of the feet and lower limbs. The conditions include those resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthtitis and soft-tissue and muscle pathologies, as well as neurological and circulatory disease. A Podiatrist can diagonose and treat any complications of the above which affect the lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, foot injuries and infections.
  • Do you accept Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) referrals?
    Yes, we do accept DVA refferals from your GP.
  • Do you accept workers compensation patients?
    Yes, we accept patients under workers compensations with a GP refferal letter and a letter from your insurance pre-approving the initial consultation.
  • Do I need a GP Referral to see a Podiatrist?
    No, you do not require a referral to consult with a Podiatrist.
  • What payment options are accepted?
    We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit card, and AfterPay. We also accept American Express with no additional fee.
  • Do you accept workers compensation patients?
    Yes, we accept patients under workers compensations with a GP refferal letter and a letter from your insurance pre-approving the initial consultation.
  • Am I covered for Podiatry under my private health fund?
    Podiatry is usually covered under "extras" in your private health fund. We reccommend checking with your health fund provider prior to your appointment to check what services you are covered for and level of rebate.
  • Should I remove nail polish prior to your appointment?
    Yes, we ask all of our patients to remove any nail polish, shellac, or artificial nails prior to your appointment. Removal of nail polish, shellac, or artificial nails will incrue an additional charge of $50 to your consultation.
  • Am I covered for Podiatry under Medicare?
    Medicare coverage is only for patients who have an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) from their GP. Castle Hill Podiatry is a private billing practice. It is our policy that payment for any consultations is to be made at the time of your appointment. Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. The current Medicare rebate for Podiatry is $55.10 and DOES NOT cover the full cost of a consultation. After payment is made, we will lodge the claim to Medicare on your behalf and the rebate is transferred to your bank account that is set up with Medicare.
